It turns out the batiks I made in the past few years were not necessarily colorfast! I am so sorry. I was working with older dyes and didn’t have sufficient data on methods to set the colors well.
I am currently updating my natural-fiber dyes and preparing proper color-setting techniques. It’s a bit of a lengthy process, but worth it for richly colored silks and wools!
If you purchased one of my scarves, please take it for dry-cleaning only when needed.
If you already washed it yourself and had problems with the colors, please contact me, and I’ll replace your scarf with one properly colorfast.
